Personal Genome Project

PGP Community

Volunteers

The experiences of volunteers enrolled in the PGP will have tremendous educational value for individuals from the general public. Participants can therefore choose for data about themselves, such as genome sequences or medical records, to be made publicly available.

As an open research project, the PGP will be a source of insight for individuals who may enroll as a participant in the PGP or other research endeavors involving DNA sequencing.

We have enrolled ten volunteers in the PGP to date. We plan to incrementally expand enrollment to 100,000 informed participants.

For Researchers

The PGP is a collaborative research endeavor involving scientists from around the world. We encourage researchers who have specific scientific topics that might benefit from a large consented dataset of genomic and phenomic data to contact us. Large cohort and population studies, planned or already underway, are also an area of interest for the PGP.
